Basic Information

I chose to take this class because I enjoyed reading the Hunger Games trilogy and I am very intrigued by the society of the Hunger Games. It's funny, before I read the Hunger Games I told myself that I wouldn't like it for some reason. The only reason I read it is because my little sister actually convinced me to give it a try. In this course I'm hoping to be able to connect the Hunger Games with many other aspects of modern culture and history. My favorite character of the Hunger Games is Peeta. I think Peeta is probably the most relatable character for me. He is very kind and generous and is always on the lookout for ways to help others. During the games, his only purpose is to make sure that Katniss survives, no matter what. His willingness to do whatever it takes to protect his loved ones makes him my favorite character.
